With hospital playrooms closed and visitors limited, hospitalized kids feel more isolated than ever. Hospital staff are using Starlight Programs to provide entertainment, fun, and much-needed distraction.
This September, amazing communities participated in our second-annual Stream For Starlight (S4S) in the midst of COVID-19. Our streamers and their communities raised over $180,000 and we can’t thank them enough!
Our Creative Hospital Partners
We love supporting our hospital partners and seeing the creative ways they use Starlight Programs.
Child life specialists at Children’s of Mississippi use Starlight Programs to help children cope with cancer and blood disorders, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital is using Virtual Reality to help kids in the hospital continue their education!

The New York Islanders produced the first-ever NHL-themed Gown this year! Thank you to Islanders fans who helped bring these Gowns to New York-area hospitals.
Our long-standing partnership with MLB lets kids know they’re an important part of the team. This year, we are thankful that fifteen Clubs across the country safely delivered comfortable, Club-themed Gowns to their local hospitals.
We are so happy to see the incredible relationship with Disney and Lucasfilm totally change Starlight Kid Esperanza’s hospital experience, all thanks to her Chewbacca-themed Starlight Gown!
Our partnership with Nintendo is 28 years strong and we are grateful for their support. The latest Starlight Nintendo Switch Gaming stations are ready to be delivered to hospitals just in time for the holidays, providing entertainment and supporting mental health.
