MLB-Themed Starlight Gowns Are A Home Run
In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month earlier this year, MLB and Starlight partnered once again to deliver fun MLB Club-themed Starlight Gowns to hospitals across the country!
These Starlight Gowns are special because they help kids socialize while showing off their spirit for local teams.
In previous years, players hand-delivered these Gowns to hospitals through in-person events. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Clubs got creative with their Gown deliveries.
Players from the Los Angeles Dodgers made a virtual visit to UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. Patients felt like World Series Champs when they received Dodgers-themed Starlight Gowns and played trivia with their favorite players!
The Mariner Moose of the Seattle Mariners made a very special visit to patients at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, where they shared smiles and laughs.
Staff at AHN Allegheny General Hospital were delighted to hand out Pittsburgh Pirates-themed Starlight Gowns to their patients.
Texas Rangers-themed Starlight Gowns sure made patients smile at Medical City Children’s Hospital. They even received a surprise, video message from Texas Rangers’ player, Nick Solak.
Two sweet patients at the University of Kansas Health System couldn’t wait to strike a pose in their Kansas City Royals-themed Starlight Gowns.
In total, fifteen Clubs across the country donated Gowns to their local hospitals.
We’re so grateful for MLB’s support in helping to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids when they need it most.
