2022 has been another incredible year of bringing moments of joy to children in hospitals across the country. As we enter the final weeks of the year and look ahead to another year full of possibilities, I want to personally thank you for being a supporter of this important work.  

This year marks our 40th anniversary, a milestone we have celebrated all year long by reflecting on the past, present, and future of Starlight’s mission and impact. This reflection has made one thing so clear: you, our supporters, are the driving force behind each smile. 

Your impact is seen every single day at our hospital partners across the country. Whether you support Starlight by donating, following us on social media, or telling your friends about our mission, you make it possible for us to bring comfort, normalcy, and of course, happiness, to millions of kids each year.  

In a year full of so many twists, turns, and challenges, your support has made some amazing things possible:

• We launched our Education Program, which integrates tools and resources for learning into Starlight Hospital Gowns and Deliveries.  

• We collaborated with passionate fan groups across the country to bring kids’ favorite stories to life and help them transform into their favorite characters.  

• We grew relationships with high-impact partners and established new ones that have allowed us to take your impact even further with the kids we serve. 

None of this would be possible without you. As each generation of children learns who they are, what they love, and what childhood means to them, Starlight must adapt to ensure that we are a shining light for every kid experiencing illness or injury. Because of you, that light burns brighter with every passing day.

Thank you for being part of this journey with Starlight and for showing up for sick kids. We can’t wait to see what else we can accomplish together.
