Streamers Step Up for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
What an amazing September! In our largest Stream For Starlight campaign, over 350 communities helped us deliver happiness during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Broadcasters raised over $205,000 for seriously ill kids across the US, like Starlight Kid Kyrell.
Kyrell was diagnosed with cancer at just eight years old and spent years in the hospital receiving treatment. He wore Starlight Gowns during procedures and made friends by playing on Starlight Gaming stations. Now, he’s 14 and loves playing VALORANT and Minecraft.
During our second-annual Starlight Summit, a kick-off to the month-long fundraising campaign, Kyrell joined four Starlight streamers for a game of VALORANT on StarlightUS! The Summit also included a pancake stacking contest, giveaways, and an interview with Starlight’s CEO, raising over $2,600.
The month continued with raid trains, 24-hour streams, and hundreds of communities rallying together. Plus, we were able to reward some incredible broadcasters with prizes from our generous sponsor Razer! Many of our top fundraisers will soon be decked out with a brand new Razer Audio Mixer, Razer Seiren V2 Microphone, and a Razer Kiyo Camera.
We are completely blown away by everyone’s generosity! With each pie smashed, game completed, and karaoke song performed, you made a difference for thousands of seriously ill kids.
Top Team Fundraiser: GoodCauseCrusaders, $17,650
ChefNegin of the GoodCauseCrusaders received a special visit from Captain Starlight, pushing her over her fundraising goal! The team would continue to raise $17,650 in total. This is their second year of being our top team!
Top Individual Fundraiser: elliejoypanic, $6,396
Top fundraiser elliejoypanic ate a spicy jellybean as a donation incentive. The verdict? Too hot!

Starlight Kid Kyrell recognizes his stepmom’s generous donation during the Starlight Summit VALORANT game.
Stream team Sistas of the Fog member tomo_arigatoo celebrates raising $100 during their first stream! The team will go on to raise over $6,000 throughout September.
Starlight Stream Ambassador The8BitDrummer is blown away by reaching the $3,000 milestone during his set.
