Longtime Supporter Kathleen Chung Receives Starlight’s Happiness Hero Award

As Starlight celebrates our 40th anniversary, we want to turn the spotlight on the incredible partners, hospitals, and individuals we work with every day to fulfill our mission – delivering happiness to seriously ill kids and their families.  

One of Starlight’s most loyal and dedicated supporters is Kathleen Chung. Kathleen has been a Shining Star since 2019, giving every single month to ensure that kids across the country are supported in their most challenging moments all year long.  

“Who wouldn’t want to bring joy to these children who have had so much of their normal childhood taken from them already?," explained Kathleen when asked why she is dedicated to delivering happiness.

Kathleen has gone above and beyond to have the greatest impact possible on seriously ill kids. Over the past 4 years, she has placed a Starlight Nintendo Gaming station and a Starlight Nintendo Handheld at two of her local hospitals. By taking advantage of her company’s matching gift program, she ensured that her donations could bring double the smiles to Starlight Kids! 

We are so grateful for her warm, compassionate spirit that moves her to be there for sick kids when they need it most.
