Getting Comfortable with Disney-themed Starlight Gowns

Annalisa is an athletic eleven-year-old who loves everything outdoors, from skateboarding to swimming to hanging out with her five cats! She used to do gymnastics, but her Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) makes it difficult.

CRPS is a rare but agonizing form of chronic pain with no cure. While it’s uncommon in children, Annalisa experiences it in her feet. On a typical day, her pain is about a six on a scale of ten.

Annalisa has seen her fair share of doctors’ offices and hospital rooms, but she recently experienced her first extended stay at a hospital. Being away from the comforts of home can be frightening, especially when you’re not feeling well.

Our wonderful partners at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital knew just the thing to help Annalisa feel more comfortable—a soft, Disney-themed Starlight Hospital Gown!

“I truly believe these Gowns made a world of difference in her stay. When the nurses brought the first Gown (in her now vast collection), her eyes lit up,” said Sarah, Annalisa’s mom.

Starlight Gowns replace uncomfortable hospital gowns with high-quality, comfortable, and brightly colored ones.

"The Gowns are much more comfortable and fit just right with the ties down the side rather than an exposed back, per the typical hospital wear. The best part was seeing what Gown she would have next to add to her collection. Throughout the week, she accumulated almost the whole Mickey Mouse gang that included Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, and Goofy, as well as R2-D2 and Elsa,” said Sarah.
