A Super Start to Stream For Starlight
They came. They streamed. And so far they’ve raised over $30,000 for seriously ill kids!
Starlight Children’s Foundation’s history with gaming goes way back to 1992, when the first-ever Starlight Gaming console was created to bring gaming to seriously ill children. Today, we continue to deliver happiness to thousands of hospitalized kids with the best in video games, virtual reality, and specially curated content.
This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we launched Stream For Starlight, our first-ever campaign to unite the streaming and gaming community in support of our mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids. Participants created their own campaign and fundraised while streaming their activity through Tiltify. Streams included cooking demos, live music, drawing, quilting, and gaming to raise funds and critical awareness for Starlight and our mission.
To end the month, the Starlight team journeyed to San Diego to celebrate with our streamer friends at TwitchCon. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the streaming community and were thrilled to meet some of our Stream For Starlight superstars in person.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the September Stream For Starlight kick-off a success. Whether you streamed, watched, donated, or spread the word, we are grateful for your support to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids.
